KidsFlyer™, the world’s first safety travel outfit for kids was invented by Barry Duremdes in 2025 and together with wife Herbelle Duremdes, they founded the company KidsFlyer Pty Ltd (Australia).
Barry and Belle spent years traveling the world as a couple and with their 2 kids, the destinations were magical yet the journey was often a struggle.
From dressing sleepy toddlers at 4 a.m. to panicking in crowded terminals when they couldn’t spot one of the kids for a moment — they lived through every parent’s travel nightmare: missing kid in public, which happened a few years ago when their son Bryle wandered around and got lost for 15 minutes at a busy international airport!
That’s when they realised: Outfits weren’t designed for real-world family travel. Safety was an afterthought. And if a child ever got separated? There was no quick way for someone to help them reconnect with us.
So, after 2 years of research, trial and error as well as design testing and improvement, the solution was created — and KidsFlyer™ was born.
Each KidsFlyer™ Safety Travel Outfit is a wearable safety system, with:
- A pre-sewn scannable QR code linking to a secure contact profile
- Glow-in-the-dark lining for visibility in low light
- A hidden AirTag pocket
- A keychain hook for their lovey
- Soft, cozy fabric they can sleep or run in
